This week's sign that the Apocalypse is upon us

Bloody Sox auction?

It’s the symbol of the end of and 86-year-old curse. In a less emotionally-charged enviroment, Curt Schilling’s bloody sock would end up in a medical waste container. I doubt that anyone EVER thought that a bloody sock might fetch anywhere near $1 million.

Curt Schilling’s bloody World Series “Red Sock” will be auctioned to benefit the ALS Association according to the Boston Herald.

Boston maggie reports the charity, which battles Lou Gehrig’s disease, is hoping to get $1 million for the hose, which was hotly sought by the baseball Hall of Fame.

At least it’s going for a good cause. I can hardly wait to find out what Schilling’s protective cup will go for….
