It would appear that winter is here…or at least what passes for winter on the Texas Gulf Coast. While it’s 9 degrees and snowing in International Fall, MN, this morning…well, let’s just say that no snowplows will be in evidence here today…. When I got to work yesterday morning, I saw…could it be?? Yes, kids, that’s frost on the roof of the elementary school next to my office building. It was gone by 10am. Such is winter here in Paradise. ;0)
Of course, for those of you near the Canadian border, this hardly passes for winter, but it’s as close as we generally gets here. In the 7+ years I’ve lived here, I’ve seen snow once. Of course, it melted before it hit the ground, but it definitely WAS snow as it fell through the glow of the street lights.
For those of you having to shovel your driveway this morning, I’ll spare you the whining about the cold weather, because I’m actually rather enjoying this. For someone who grew up two hours south of the Canadian border, this is great stuff. Now if we could only see some snow….
