Another DUMB@$$ AWARD wiener

Train collision near Los Angeles kills 10: Police- Man to face murder charges.

DUMB@$$ AWARD wiener #186: Juan Manuel Alvarez

Here’s something that you’re going to want to keep in mind should you ever decide that you want to hasten your exit from this world. If you plan on committing suicide, at least do a minimum of due diligence. Does your plan have a high likelihood of success? Do you have the tools necessary? Have you anticipated all of the things that might possibly go wrong? Most of all- and this is by far the most important point to keep in mind- have you made certain that you’re not going to take anyone else with you who hasn’t agreed to come along for the ride?

Juan Manuel Alvarez clearly neglected to take care of business. He was sloppy, careless, and now at least 11 people are dead because he didn’t have the cojones to get it right the first time.

GLENDALE, California (CNN) — A suicidal man will face murder charges after parking his vehicle on tracks Wednesday, causing a commuter train collision that killed at least 10 people outside Los Angeles, officials said.

“This whole incident was started by a deranged individual who was suicidal,” said Glendale Police Chief Randy Adams.

The suspect, identified as Juan Manuel Alvarez, 25, got out of the Jeep Cherokee before impact and watched the collision, Adams said.

The Compton, California, resident was taken into custody at the scene and will be charged with one count of homicide for each death resulting from the incident, Adams said.

Before being arrested and placed on suicide watch, the suspect was treated for superficial wounds — cuts to the wrist and chest — that were self-inflicted and not caused by the train wreck, Adams said.

“I think he was intent at that time of taking his own life, but changed his mind prior to the train actually striking his vehicle,” Adams said.

The DUMB@$$ AWARD committee is normally loathe to recognize stupidity when it involves the loss of human life. In this case, however, an exception screams to be made. Alvarez couldn’t even manage to snuff our his own miserable, pointless existence properly, and because of his sloth at least 11 people are dead, and more may follow.

If there were any justice in this world, Alvarez would have thought through his plan enough to ensure that his suicide was successful without taking anyone else with him. Now, because of lack of courage and poor planning, 11 families are now without a husband, wife, mother, father, sister, or brother. All because of one DUMB@$$ who couldn’t even kill himself properly.
