But he's a firm, resolute murderer

Bush expounds on theme of freedom: President says, ‘I firmly planted the flag of liberty’

I think the Iraqi people are wondering whether or not this nation has the will necessary to stand with them as a democracy evolves. The fundamental question is: Can we advance that history? And that’s what my inauguration speech said. It said yes we can. I firmly planted the flag of liberty for all to see that the United States of America hears their concerns and believes in their aspirations. And I am excited by the challenge and am honored to be able to lead our nation in the quest of this noble goal, which is freeing people in the name of peace.

  • George W. Bush

I have promised myself for as long as George W. Bush has been in office that my disdain for his politics and policies would not become personal. I am to the point where I can feel my resolve beginning to crumble. Watching his performance at yesterday’s news conference was enough to make me physically ill, and yes, I felt something akin to hatred. I am not at all proud of that, but there it is. Five minutes of watching that smirking fool rationalize the needless, wasteful sacrifice of more than 1400 American soldiers introduced me to a rage that I barely knew existed within me.

Bush talks the talk, but he so clearly cannot walk the walk when it comes to understanding the criminal, murderous wastefulness of his policy in Iraq. I am not by nature a hateful person, but I am struggling to contain my emotions at this point. When I hear of 34 Americans perishing in the course of one day, and then I am subjected to watching the C-Student-in-Chief rationalize away his responsibility with that “What? Me worry?” smirk pasted on his mug…. Well, it takes me to a place of such indescribably intense anger and fury that I can barely see straight.

To the 51% of you who voted for this f——-g moron: nice going. You put him in the White House, and you bear a large degree of responsibility for this collective, ongoing tragedy. I hope you’re proud of yourselves.
