BTW, the prime minister in question is Sir Wilfred Laurier. He governed from 1896-1911 and was noteworthy for being Canada's first French Canadian prime minister. He was a free trader and a brilliant compromiser. He saw Canada through the Boer War and did his utmost to reconcile the differences between French and English Canada.
Pity Lieberman didn't win, then. He could have said "the twenty-first century belongs to America". :-)
