A plea for help

It’s not often I run into a problem that I have no clue how to solve. I find myself in a situation where I feel the need to reach out to my readers in hopes that someone somewhere may have an answer. Einar is a 4 1/2-year-old male cat, and, yes, he has been neutered. Even so, he still marks territory, which wouldn’t normally be a problem, except that we only notice him doing this indoors. There is cat urine on the blinds in the living room, on doors in the master bedroom, on the garbage can in the kitchen, on the big-screen television, etc., etc. It’s a constant battle trying to figure where he has marked so that we can clean the area thoroughly.

I’m at a loss. I love Einar dearly, but I can no longer allow him in the house, because I can no longer keep up with determing what needs to be cleaned. As you might imagine, the house at times smells of cat urine. Yum….

My question is quite simple…what can I do to keep him from marking inside the house? IS there anything I can do, or is Einar condemned to permanently be on the outside looking in? He’s not much of a fighter, and I’m beginning to see that being outside 24/7 has been hard on him. Nonetheless, right now I have no other option.

Ideas, anyone?? Feel free to leave a comment or email me at yuppieskumATgmailDOTcom. Thanks….
