It has now been revealed that a Washington lobbyist personally paid for Tom DeLay’s trips using his own credit card. Even more embarrassing, the lobbyist also put the purchase of Tom DeLay on his credit card.

A quiet day on the Tom DeLay front. I’m beginning to wonder if the national attention span will be long enough to force DeLay out of power- or whether this will all eventually disappear because we just can’t pay attention long enough?

About the worst revelation today was a picture of DeLay smoking a $25 Cuban cigar. This would be no big deal, except that DeLay has regularly railed against Castro’s Cuba, called his regime a “thugocracy”. Interesting from a man who regularly derides the evils of moral relativism, eh??
