[T]here has been a hijacking of the U.S. Senate by what I call the religious right wing of the country. I think what has happened is Focus on the Family has been hijacking Christianity and become an appendage of the Republican Party. I think it’s using Christianity and religion in a very unprincipled way.

You may want to ask the top GOPpers whether they really consider Salazar to be white. They'll probably crow about having a Hispanic on their side, to complement the token black (Rice), token pesticide-brain-damage victim (DeLay), token gay prostitute (aka Gannon), token Jabba-the-Hutt (Hastert), and token Undead zombie (Coulter).
Of course, what Salazar really said was that FonF was "the anti-christ"... talk about lashing out
