House OKs proposal to ban gay marriage: The measure to amend constitution now goes to Senate
Yep, having solved all of the other problems facing the Great State of Texas, the Legislature is about to produce their piece de resistance, their master legislative stroke that will prove to the world…what a messed-up, narrow-minded, bigoted, fearful, pandering collection of trolls inhabit the state house in Austin.
So what’s next? Mandatory creationism in elementary schools? Trying to put the Confederate flag on the state seal? Making NASCAR the state sport? Making adulterous women wear scarlet letters? What is so difficult with the concept of live and let live? Why do so many Right-wing Social Conservatives consider it their God-given right to legislate their morality upon the rest of us? How does maintaining legal second-class status for a minority simply because of their lifestyle advance our cause as a society?
Here’s a hint: if you are opposed to gay marriage, THEN DON’T HAVE ONE!! Isn’t about time for y’all to WAKE UP AND SMELL THE CAT LITTER?? We live in a diverse world, where there should be room for all of us. Instead we have a group of legislators who honestly feel that they are protecting good Christians from the Evil Homosexual Agenda.
Isn’t about time for these folks to head for the hills with a roll of barbed wire and some high-powered assault weapons to keep the Gays away? Just don’t bend over…you never know who might be sneaking up on you from behind, eh??
