Now that I’ve stuck my foot in the door, I guess I should follow the lead of the expat and introduce myself…
I am a 35 year-old (soon to be 36 if I survive Rita) technical support drone for the webhosting division of a local ISP. I live in Houston, TX with my wife and three cats, who frequrntly appear on my four catcams. In the urban paradise we call home, I garden, bake excellent bread in my bread machine, grill anything that doesn’t move, and slowly dip further into insanity.
In addition to writing for the unapologetically right-wing nutcase and appropriately-named This Blog Is Full Of Crap, I also write for IMAO and its related podcast, Shire News Network’s podcast (along with Mr. Andrew Ian Dodge, The Man In London), 100 Words Or Les Nessman as a featured author, and Htown Blogs.
If we all survive this Rita thing, be sure to get a roster ready for my Dead Pool. December 1st is when you can submit rosters for 2006.
I’m using “Neo Con Queso” as an ID because it’s one of many options my parents had when they were filling out those forms in the hospital alomst 36 years ago. However, seeing as my Great Grandmother was named Lauren instead of Neo Con Queso and their last name was Simon, they felt obligated to take the “safe” route.
Under no circumstances should you spell my name with a W. I didn’t vote for W. Twice.
Finally, to prove the whole concept of Houston as “Fat City” wrong, I’ve been on a crash diet the past two months. I’ve dropped from 235 pounds to 214 as of this morning, and I plan to lose more through the judicious use of salads, exercise, and avoiding all fast food.
Well, maybe I started the diet because my doctor said to do it or I’d end up in the Mount of Olives smelling of sheets and dirt.
I’ll be posting plenty of photos and movie on this site, my site, and other sites should we get a buttload of Rita in the next few days. Of course, once the power and phone lines go out, I’ll just be posting them on the refrigerator and counting the hits from the cats.

Very funny stuff! I'm getting the heck out of Clear Lake, so I'll definitely have to check your stuff out for updates. Good Luck!
