I'm not certain the news could be any worse....

Overnight, it appears the forecast track for Hurrican Rita was shifted to the east. As of now, the eye is forecast to come directly over TPRS. [Insert name of desired diety here] help us all….

It could be worse if you were at home watching it approach from your deck.

Houses can be replaced, people can't. I'm hoping you have the flood insurance as well as your regular policy.

You could call to get on the FEMA phone queue now.

Looks like the projected path continues to move eastward. Galveston Bay - and Seabrook - are likely to get the "backside" of the storm now. That's a FAR better scenario than to get hosed by the "frontside".

Boo's in a secure shelter, right?
