Just wanted to mention that Chronicle’s Rita Blog seems to be up and running on top of the excellent coverage already demonstrated by Eric “Pretty Fly For A Sci Guy” Berger. Not sure why Berger and the Chronicle blogs aren’t getting wider notice, as opposed to the scores of blogs tapped as go-to sites for Katrina coverage before, during, and after Ray Nagin, Governor Blank-Stare, and FEMA turned The Big Easy into The Big Queasy.

Is this some sort of bias against Houston weblogs, Houston itself, or is it just my Houstonian inferiority complex kicking in as usual?

As for the other authors on this site, I suppose I’m going to be the guy who ends up being the goofy Designated Friday Catblogger, eh? Boo’s got bit paws to fill.
