Present and accounted for

A number of readers have inquired about the safety of our pets. Thankfully, there is good news to report. Our neighbor who remained at home throughout the storm took Salem the Wonderdog in, and though Salem was a bit confused, she apparently held up well. She couldn’t corral Boo and Einar, who have a tendency to make themselves scarce, but she called a while ago to report that they are well and lounging on our deck as if nothing had happened. Knowing them, they’re probably trying to figure out when I’m going to get off my ass and feed them….

Um, how about that luscious guy who shows up on your truck from time to time, needing to be checked for a pulse?

I'm really glad for all your furred folk, and for you too. Is Susan going to be able to spend a few days away with you, or must she return to Houston now? It looks like getting back could be problematic...
