Now do you miss Clinton? I know I do.

Iraq invasion ‘big mistake,’ Bill Clinton says

This should seem horribly obvious by now. The war is a mess. We have no exit strategy. American soldiers are being murdered by an enemy they seldom see using roadside bombs they cannot detect. None of this is news, though few Democrats have had the balls to speak truth to power. Now that a few are, Our Glorious Leader and others in the Administration have taken to accusing them of engaging in “revisionist history”. The fact that they are engaging in exactly the same behavior they accuse Democrats of seems not to concern the propagandists a bit. Stay on message, repeat the Big Lie often enough, and eventually it becomes the truth, right?

Conservatives will, no doubt, belittle the message because of the messenger. After all, Clinton got his helmet polished by a zaftig intern, so what could he possibly know? This attitude belies the truth that Our Glorious Leader couldn’t hold Bill Clinton’s jockstrap. Yes, Clinton was a flawed human being of prodigious appetites and the occasional embarrassing lack of self-control, but no one could lay the deaths of 2000+ American soldiers at his feet. Clinton didn’t manipulate intelligence and lie to the American people in order to get a war he so desperately wanted.

The honest truth is that the war IS a mistake, and while few Democrats have the balls to even drop a few hints in that direction, at least Bill Clinton has the courage to speak the truth. It’s just too bad that no one in Washington seems to be listening.
