Bush asserts US winning Iraq war

The full text of Bush’s speech, so you don’t have to watch a criminal during family hour

Defeatism may have its partisan uses, but it is not justified by the facts. For every scene of destruction in Iraq, there are more scenes of rebuilding and hope. For every life lost, there are countless more lives reclaimed. And for every terrorist working to stop freedom in Iraq, there are many more Iraqis and Americans working to defeat them. My fellow citizens: Not only can we win the war in Iraq – we are winning the war in Iraq.

  • Our Glorious Dear Leader

Damn, and I had to miss Our Glorious Leader’s speech to the nation tonight becuase of a family Christmas/Holiday/Kwanzaa/Hanukkah/Day Before Boxing Day/Bowl Championship Series party. Well, unless you get all weak in the knees over the public regurgitating of propanda and warmed-over talking points revisited yet again, I doubt that any of us really missed much.

Judging by the text of the Prevaricator in Chief’s speech, either he or his speechwriter must think we’re complete morons. Surely, someone in the White House must realize that Americans are able to see what is happening and judge for themselves as to whether or not we’re “winning” the war in Iraq. And if “victory” is so important, what about the cost to purchase this Pyrrhic “victory”? Over 2100 Americans are dead in this senseless and immoral permanent war against Brown People, and yet Our Glorious Leader feels comfortable calling the war in Iraq a victory. Damn, I’d hate to see the losers….

Now back to Spider-man on TNT. I prefer my fiction to have a happy ending.

If I were the praying sort, I’d be asking for only one thing when I hit my knees. That would be that someone in Congress would have the balls to recognize that it is time to impeach this sorry excuse for a President.

WHO’S WEARING THE BLUE DRESS NOW??

And it was still fairer than the last election in Texas was the previous entry in this blog.

Yeah, I know; I'd want answers from Our Glorious Leader on these questions as well is the next entry in this blog.
