And you wonder why Our Glorious Leader was "re-elected"?

It Takes a Lot to Piss Me Off

You know, I can understand that good and decent people will disagree on just about anything. I can understand that they might disagree with me enough to resort to name-calling and insults. I can even understand when they and their friends think it’s reasonable to engage in a bit of rhetorical piling-on. After all, this is still (nominally) a democracy, and demonizing the opposition is a long-held value of Conservatives (Lee Atwater and Karl Rove, anyone??). THIS diatribe, though, is silly enough that I actually found myself laughing out loud.

First of all, I’m flattered that anyone is actually paying attention. If ideas and opinions are the enemy, well, I’d be proud to be considered Public Enemy Number One. Kevin and his allies from the Ted Nugent wing of the GOP clearly see me as a threat to Our Way of Life, and I’m always flattered to be seen as a threat. Pissing off those on the Right always leaves me with a warm, fuzzy feeling. Ah, ‘tis good to be alive, ain’t it??

And this is priceless:

In true compassionate, inclusive, diversity-embracing Leftist style, Jack’s most recent post suggests that he’s in favor of the homosexual rape of prisoners by prison guards. So long as the rape victim is a Republican.

Clearly humor is lost on Kevin and his fellow travellers. It’s a cartoon, y’all. Read into it what you choose…but then you apparently already have.

Ah, why waste the energy arguing with someone already so thoroughly convinced of his own moral and ideological superiority? I’ve heard it said that Conservatism is the sound of a mind slamming shut. This screed seems to be a perfect illustration of why this is so true…and the comments are even better. Go have a read…and leave a comment or two. Hell, tell Kevin I sent you; that ought to really piss him off.
