Welcome to the international edition of "Once a DUMB@$$, always a DUMB@$$"

Iran president expresses doubt holocaust happened

Nevertheless, a head of state calling for another state to be “wiped off the map” is simply beyond the pale. Is this simply another an example of political thuggery by the head of a Fundamentalist Islamic government, the rantings of a demagogue willing to incite a war to wipe out the adherents to a religion he so clearly despises? Or is it just some plain old DUMB@$$ theatrics engaged in by an inept political hack trying to ensure that he keeps the locals safely down on the farm, distracted from the real problems facing Iran? I don’t think I need to tell you what I think….

Welcome to the inaugural international edition of “Once a DUMB@$$, always a DUMB@$$”, in which our first wiener combines ignorance and intolerance with Islam and political pandering to put forth a truly noxious and astoundingly ignorant view of mid-20th century history. Apparently, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, a fine specimen of a DUMB@$$, has expressed doubt that the Holocaust actually occurred. (Uh…so those six million Jews were just extras on “Lost”??) Of course, Ahmadinejad is the same pointy-headed dimwit who declared that Israel should be wiped off the map. Yeah, I know; consider the source. If you hooked up an IQ-meter up to Ahmadinejad, it’s unlikely that the needle would move.

Once upon a time, in a land far, far away, there lived a bearded man. This bearded man had the IQ of a hamster and the common sense of Jimmy Swaggart. Though he leads a Third World theocracy with no hope of ever becoming anything other than what it is at the moment, this bearded man saw himself as a shining beacon for those who followed the tenets of the Religion of Peace (TM). Of course, that the government this bearded man heads supports those who carry out suicide bombings in the name of their religion seems not to trouble him in the slightest- because ignorance is not a handicap when it comes to Islamofascism. In fact, ignorance is almost a prerequisite to becoming an Islamic fundamentalist.

TEHRAN (Reuters) - Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Thursday expressed doubt the Holocaust took place and suggested the Jewish state of Israel be moved to Europe.

Actually, Europe’s a little crowded, and rather overpriced these days. How about Wyoming? There are only about 12 people in the entire state and thousands of acres of federal land that the Zionists could call their own? If that isn’t acceptable, eastern Montana is one big, empty space, just perfect for Kibbutzim.

The latest comments also provoked quick condemnation. German Chancellor Angela Merkel called them “totally unacceptable” and British Foreign Secretary Jack Straw said “I condemn them unreservedly. They have no place in civilized political debate.”

Ahmadinejad was quoted by IRNA as saying: “Some European countries insist on saying that Hitler killed millions of innocent Jews in furnaces and they insist on it to the extent that if anyone proves something contrary to that they condemn that person and throw them in jail.”

“Although we don’t accept this claim, if we suppose it is true, our question for the Europeans is: is the killing of innocent Jewish people by Hitler the reason for their support to the occupiers of Jerusalem?” he said.

Uh, no…actually, I think it had something to do with Scripture and/or Jewish theology, not collective guilt. Of course, if believing this makes you feel better, go for it, dude….

“If the Europeans are honest they should give some of their provinces in Europe — like in Germany, Austria or other countries — to the Zionists and the Zionists can establish their state in Europe. You offer part of Europe and we will support it.”

Again, I think President DUMB@$$ Ahmadinejad is missing the point here. Zionism, at least as I understand it, is predicated on a Jewish presence in the Holy Land, with Jerusalem as it’s capital. It’s not just a simple matter of a land swap. Somehow, I think giving, say, Switzerland to the Jews is going to be a tough sale. I know it’s a beautiful place and all, but I remember enough of my forced Sunday School education to remember that Jesus didn’t ride a donkey through the streets of Geneva.

As you might imagine, the Israelis were something less than overwhelmed with Ahmadinejad’s half-@$$ed idea::

Raanan Gissin, a spokesman for Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, said in Tel Aviv Ahmadinejad was voicing “the consensus that exists in many circles in the Arab world that the Jewish people … do not have the right to establish a Jewish, democratic state in their ancestral homeland”.

“Just to remind Mr. Ahmadinejad, we’ve been here long before his ancestors were here,” Gissin said. “Therefore, we have a birthright to be here in the land of our forefathers and to live here. Thank God we have the capability to deter and to prevent such a statement from becoming a reality.”

Yeah, Iran has SO much to offer the rest of the world, eh? Lessee, there’s repression, ignorance, intolerance, subjugation of women, lack of freedom of expression, a moribund economy…yes, it’s a veritable Paradise on Earth, ain’t it? It’s just too bad the Jews couldn’t manage to duplicate this success, eh?
