BECAUSE I'M TOM DELAY, B***H!

Texas Court Won’t Dismiss DeLay Charges

AUSTIN, Texas - The state’s highest criminal court on Monday denied Rep. Tom DeLay’s request that the money laundering charges against him be dismissed or sent back to a lower court for an immediate trial.

Could it be? Is it really possible that Tom DeLay is finding out that the judicial system is not merely for other, lesser mortals? Yes, indeed…it seems that “The Hammer” is discovering that sometimes our legal system really DOES work as it’s supposed to. Unlike Congress, which dispenses the best legislation money can buy, our judicial system really doesn’t run on money and favors.

DeLay was hoping to get all of this unpleasantness out of the way as quickly as possible, so that he could get back to the business of running the House of Representatives as a business (Hey, do you think it’s EASY buying and selling votes??).

It’s got to be tough, being treated (and regarding yourself) for so long as if conventional rules and laws don’t apply to you because…well…BECAUSE I’M TOM DELAY, B—-H! I’M “THE HAMMER”, AND MERE MORTAL POLITICIANS COWER BEFORE ME! LOBBYISTS ADORE ME, CORPORATIONS BANKROLL ME!! JESUS IS MY CO-PILOT!! Yeah, I know…and being a Republican means never having to say you’re sorry…or worry about being held accountable.

Yes, it’s got to be hard on the man…realizing that he can’t intimidate the judicial system into treating him with the deference DeLay clearly feels he deserves.

Is it wrong that I’m enjoying this so much??? ;p)
