Just trying Googling "miserable failure"

Poll: Most think Bush is failing second term

WASHINGTON (CNN) — A majority of Americans are more likely to vote for a candidate in November’s congressional elections who opposes President Bush, and 58 percent consider his second term a failure so far, according to a poll released Thursday.

Gee, and it’s only taken the American sheeple five years (and two elections) to figure this one out. Yes, it would be tough to go broke underestimating the intelligence of the American sheeple. Still, Our Glorious Leader managed to get himself elected after stealing an election, so he must have something going for him…if you consider lying, cheating, and spreading propaganda to be assets.

Of course, now that the Prevaricator in Chief is a lame duck, he no longer needs to worry nor even care about the bigger picture of his poll number. Then again, like any second term President, he’s going to want to focus on his legacy. Good luck on that one, eh? How does “The Worst President Ever” sound?

So Americans are finally figuring out that their President is a moron? Nice timing, eh? It would have been nice if 51% of y’all could have awakened from your slumber long enough to keep from voting for him in 2004.

Tonight, we get to hear Our Glorious Leader attempt to spin his “accomplishments” before a joint session of Congress and a national television audience. You can be certain that there will be no mention of the more than 2,000 dead American soldiers in Iraq, the disaster that was the government’s handling of Hurricane Katrina, the clusterf—k that is the new Medicare prescription plan for senior citizens.

Instead, we’ll hear little more than spin, propaganda, and the willful ignorance of the truth. Ah, good times….

“Miserable failure”? Indeed….

Fewer people consider Bush to be honest and trustworthy now than did a year ago, and 53 percent said they believe his administration deliberately misled the public about Iraq’s purported weapons program before the U.S. invasion in 2003, the CNN/USA Today/Gallup poll found.

Pollsters interviewed 1,006 American adults Friday through Sunday. Most questions in the survey had a margin of sampling error of plus or minus 3 percentage points….

Fifty-eight percent of those polled said Bush’s second term has been a failure so far, while 38 percent said they consider it a success. A smaller number — 52 percent — consider his entire presidency a failure to date, with 46 percent calling it successful.

You have to wonder how low a threshhold those 46% have for defining “success”, eh?

Of course, I can piss and moan all I want about Our Glorious Leader, but the reality is that we’re stuck with him for another three years. Unless…well, there IS one possibility. Ah, be still, my foolish heart….
