Not Even News for a Saturday: Ann Coulter Insults Somebody
No Coulter appearance would be complete without a few gratuitous epithets. This time around, during the question-and-answer period, Coulter derisively addressed one questioner as “gay boy,” based on his manner of speech. Many audience members were offended by this - but really, was “gay boy” that bad by Coulter standards? Hasn’t she said the same thing about John Kerry?

I am constantly amazed that a disrespectful, hateful, self-superior troll like Ann Coulter can make a handsome living off being a hateful witch. It’s not as if she actually has anything to say, or that she has any interest in honest, intelligent debate…unless, of course, that debate involves an opportunity to gratuitously insult someone who disagrees with her narrow, slash-and-burn Conservatism. That she went to Indiana University and proceeded to insult members of her audience should surprise no one. That people still actually seem to take her seriously should.
We live in a country that finds itself intensely and profoundly fractured along partisan ideological lines. Throw religion into the mix, and politics has truly become a zero-sum, I-win-you-lose proposition. No longer is politics, to borrow the late Tip O’Nell’s decription, the “art of the possible”. It’s not about inclusiveness, it’s about using your position of power to shove your agenda up the backside of those not fortunate or enlightened enough to share your particular ideological bent. This, sadly, is something that both Democrats and Republicans are guilty of, though Republicans have raised the art of “f—k you” politics to an art form. When your patron saint is Tom DeLay, you aren’t exactly going to be known as the Party of the Big Tent, are you?
When one of your best-known mouthpieces is a foul-mouthed hateful troll, you’re not exactly going to be renowned for your ability to reach out to a diverse audience. Not that Ann Coulter particularly cares, because, as a wise man once said, ANY publicity is good publicity. I can only hope that there will be a special place in Hell for someone so mean-spirited, self-righteous, and disrespectful of those she considers her intellectual inferiors- which, from what I can tell, means just about everyone.
(ed. note: Sorry to disappoint some of y’all, but you’re still not going to find any nude pictures of Ann Coulter. Ohmigawd…Ann Coulter naked? Can I just beat the rush and scratch my eyes out now??)

OK, I won't hold my breath for the Ann Coulter naked pics... But this might be an even more distasteful concept:
To quote the current occupant of the White House:
BRING IT ON! ;p)
"Will someone please explain to me why this troll even has an audience?"
Oh please...this is the audience that 'elected' W. QED.
Silly me...I thought that even Conservatives had standards. What was I thinking?? ;p)
Great piece. The flip side of it is that the Democrats are the big tent party. We are full of ideas and we allow people to disagree with us.
BUT, that causes are message to be drowned out by the hate spewing mega-churches, coulters, and political opperatives who spout out the same 10 word answer to all of life's problems.
There has to be a balance but where is it and how come it is so illusive?
She's laughing all the way to the bank.
