Jewish terrorist vs. Crazy Christians!
Crazy religious nuts of the Jewish and Christian religions are at each other’s throats in the Israeli town of Nazareth tonight. The chaos started when a lunatic Jewish man snuck inside a famous old Christian church and set off a firecracker bomb.
You’ve gotta love this, eh? Hey, if it works in Iraq, why shouldn’t it work in Israel? Of course, if the Jewish nutjob had been serious about doing some damage, wouldn’t you think he could have used something a wee bit more powerful than a firecracker?
Silly me; I grew up being taught that religion was all about compassion, charity, and tolerance. God, what a naive lot of Lutherans I grew up with, eh? Of course, a little bit of violent, ignorant, xenophobic tribalism goes a long way, doesn’t it?
Is it just me, or does the word “bomb” get far too much play in discussions of religion in the Holy Land? The practice of one’s religion shouldn’t involve things going “boom”…should it??
