Our Glorious Leader lied? Again?

New video shows Bush was warned levees could breach BEFORE Katrina hit - Bush lied when he said no one could imagine levees breaching

Tape: Bush, Chertoff Warned Before Katrina

Video shows warnings about Katrina

I don’t think anybody anticipated the breach of the levees.

  • George W. Bush

There is no longer any denying what some of us have known for the past five years: Our Glorious Leader is a bald-faced, unabashed, professional liar. This is hardly news; after all, he’s been doing this to America since Day One of his Administration. No, this is hardly the most egregious example of his professional prevaricating, merely the most recent.

I’m referring, of course, to video tapes and transcripts obtained by the Associated Press which show Bush and Homeland Security czar Michael Chertoff were briefed the day BEFORE Katrina devastated New Orleans. During this briefing, Chertoff and Our Glorious Leader were explicitly warned that Katrina could well breach the city’s levees. BUSH KNEW. Later, of course, he would issue his facile statement about no one anticipating the levees being breached. That he could do this with a straight face should infuriate any reasonable person. Is it too much to expect honesty and leadership from the man who was “elected” to be President? In the case of George W. Bush, the answer clearly would have to be “yes”.

STILL glad you voted for Our Glorious Leader??

In dramatic and sometimes agonizing terms, federal disaster officials warned President Bush and his homeland security chief before Hurricane Katrina struck that the storm could breach levees, put lives at risk in New Orleans’ Superdome and overwhelm rescuers, according to confidential video footage.

Bush didn’t ask a single question during the final briefing before Katrina struck on Aug. 29, but he assured soon-to-be-battered state officials: “We are fully prepared.”

Hmm…”We are fully prepared”…kinda has the same ring as “Mission Accomplished”, doesn’t it? Personally, I’ll have to go along with John Aravosis on this one:

George Bush is not competent enough to be president of the United States. If another September 11 is being planned right now, we are dead as a nation with this man in charge. It is seriously time that Republicans joined Democrats in figuring out what to do about this man, because he is putting all of our lives in danger.

Let’s face reality here, shall we? George Bush is an IDIOT, he’s inept, he’s incompetent, and, worst of all, he’s a liar. How this man got himself elected in 2004 is beyond me. The man is a walking, talking Potemkin village: all facade and no substance. Yet somehow, he has become the most powerful man in the world. My God; the American sheeple can be such fools….
