Tom DeLay May Head Office of Management And Budget
This is the first I’ve heard of this story, but Vince Leibowitz over at Capitol Annex isn’t know for making stuff up. Besides, this is on the Internet, so it MUST be true, right?
I have little doubt that Tom DeLay will land on his feet in a lucrative position that requires nothing of him that he be his normal charming, judgemental, slash-and-burn self. Why he would want to take a pay cut by running the Office of Management of Budget is beyond me. Of course, power IS the ultimate aphrodisiac, no? it’s certainly one that seduced DeLay long ago.
Of course, there’s one nagging little reality that might throw a wrench in this rumor: Ronnie Earle. I’d suspect it’s gonna be difficult for DeLay to run OMB from a jail cell, no?
