Karma can be a real &%$#@, eh??

DO YOU THINK THIS IS FUNNY?

Pat yourselves on the backs, you tolerant liberal bastards.

Well, well, well…look who’s not enjoying life so much when the blinding light of ridicule is focused on her? It would seem that while former DUMB@$$ AWARD wiener Michelle Malkin seems to feel that she has the inalienable right to ridicule Liberals who call her on her mindless, racist lunacy, she has a real problem when the tables are turned. Yes, ‘tis better to be thought a fool than to turn out to be Michelle Malkin and remove all doubt. Apparently, it’s a whole lot more fun tossing ridicule and hatred at those who happen not to think as you do than to have it thrown at you. Who knew??

The last straw for Malkin was apparently a bit of silliness posted by Wonkette. As Internet parody goes, it’s really rather tame, but Malkin demonstrates what a thoroughly humorless troll she is:

But Wonkette has now mainstreamed it. And I’m sick of it. Are you proud of yourselves? Do you get a bonus from Nick Denton for scraping the bottom of the barrel?

In response I would ask Malkin if she gets a bonus for whoring for the most corrupt, inept, and ineffectual President in our nation’s history? Or does your ignorant, fear-based ideology trump anything resembling reality and common sense? And does being a Republican shill mean being completely devoid of a functional sense of humor?

I’m not saying that Malkin has to like the jokes and the opprobrium being directed at her, but if she’s going to be in the public eye, if she’s going to blindly shill for Our Glorious and Benevolent Leader, she’s going to have to expect to take some flack. Of course, if she can’t stand the heat, she can always get out of the kitchen, no? All whining about it will do is to ensure that the volume and meanness will increase. Welcome to the world that’s of your own creation, eh? Not so much fun when you find yourself staring down the barrel of your own gun, is it?

I can’t tell you how often I’ve had to deal with people calling me names for something I’ve written. Frankly, I take those ignorant, reactionary insults as a badge of honor. If someone feels threated enough by my opinions to resort to name calling (which really only indicates the responder has no argument against it), I must be having an impact. Ignorance and insults come with the territory, and while I’m not thrilled to be called names, I could really care less about what the fools think of me or my work. I’m just glad they’re paying attention closely enough to feel threatened. That tells me I must be doing something right.

If Malkin wants civility, then she should lead the way in practicing it. Otherwise, she can hardly claim to be surprised that some of us on the Left think she’s an unreconstructed intellectual midget and a bigot. Live by the sword, die by the sword, eh??
