Car bombs rock Iraq, 14 dead: Baghdad police find 43 bodies shot in head
The attacks come as Iraqi police told CNN a total of 43 bodies have been found in Iraq’s capital in the past 24 hours. All of the bodies had gunshot wounds to the head.
If my math holds up, at the current pace Iraq ought to be completely empty of civilians by October 24, 2007. So, if there’s nothing left to fight over and no one left to murder in order to make whatever political statement it is you’re trying to make, why bother? Maybe the US military should just pave Iraq and use it as a staging area for the upcoming invasion of Iran. Hey, with 130,000 bored troops just an overnight drive from downtown Tehran, what else are you going to have them do??
