Interesting, isn’t it, that the very people who rail against Democrats for opposing the war in Iraq are for some reason all over the idea of providing amnesty to those who have killed and maimed American soldiers. All they have to do is to come over to “our side” and all is forgiven.
So who are the real traitors here? I’m sickened by the idea that Republicans would hammer Democrats as “unpatriotic” and “un-American” for the simple act of honesty in opposing Our Glorious and Benevolent Leader’s war, but they would so willingly pardon those responsible for the brutal murder and maiming of American soldiers? Can we not see this for the craven hypocrisy it truly is? Republicans who crow about how much they support our troops are willing to give those thugs and criminals who kill Americans with roadside bombs a free pass if they simply change sides and become “the good guys”? Perhaps they’d feel differently if they had to bury their own child.
How can these hypocrites look at themselves in the mirror without being revulsed?
