Funding for ‘Lactation Station’ breast milk bar draws Tory ire
I know y’all think I just make this stuff up, but trust me; I don’t have to work nearly that hard to find stuff like this:
OTTAWA — The federal Conservative government says it won’t lay a hand on the Lactation Station Breast Milk Bar.
A Toronto performance artist is offering the public an opportunity to sample human breast milk, in the spirit of wine tasting, and the lesbian single mother is using a $9,000 grant from the Canada Council for the Arts to help get the creative juices flowing.
That’s the kind of avant garde stuff that used to make Conservative MPs paw the earth in opposition.
Of course, if it pisses off Conservatives, then it’s something I just might get behind wholeheartedly. I’m not well-versed enough with Canadian politics (I’ll leave that to mi compadre James Bow) to know if Canadian Conservatives are as narrow-minded, judgemental, and arrogantly self-righteous as American Conservatives, but I have a feeling they’re (metaphorically speaking) twin sons of different mothers.
Still glad you voted Conservative?
