Another DUMB@$$ AWARD wiener

Labor Department Official Poses As ‘Conservative Analyst” On Fox News, PBS’

Labor Department deputy assistant secretary Karen Czarnecki has repeatedly appeared on television — including Fox News and PBS — as a pundit. While she apparently filed leave papers before heading to the studios and was cleared by the department’s ethics staff (political activity by federal employees is restricted by the Hatch Act), Czarnecki never revealed her government position. Instead she identified herself as a “conservative analyst.”

DUMB@$$ AWARD wiener #422: Karen Czarnecki

It should come as a surprise to no one that this Administration is willing to skirt federal law (and simple decency) in order to incubate their propaganda and talking points into the media for dissemination to the American sheeple. After all, this Administration proved itself early on to be devoid of a sense of decency- never mind ethics- when it comes to manipulating the media to serve their purposes. And it’s not as if the media has been a tough sell. Most large media outlets have willingly (and, thankfully, only metaphorically) dropped trou, bent over, and grabbed their ankles for Our Glorious and Benevolent Leader. Karen Czarnecki was just unfortunate (and stupid) enough to be caught.

In some cases, in fact, media outlets have long known of Czarnecki’s day job (et tu, Fox News Channel?), and yet they have continued to perpetuate her charade as a “Conservative Analyst”. A PBS spokesman stated that the only way they could get her on the air was to agree to withhold disclosure of her day job from their viewing audience. No ethical isses there, eh??

OK…will someone PLEASE explain to me why and how PBS is part of the LIBERAL MEDIA??? Clearly, PBS is now (as it has been for the past five years) a cowardly, compromised servant of the Republican Noise Machine…as is the rest of the Mainstream Media. That Czarnecki is willing to perpetuate this charade only demonstrates the depths to which she and the rest of BushCo will sink in order to gain and keep power. What’s a little dishonest manipulation and misrepresentation when you need to convince the American Sheeple of the correctness of your policies? Of course, when you have the Mainstream Media willing to grab their ankles and take one for the team, what else do you expect?
