Mehlman launches the GOP terror campaign

RNC Chief Faults Democratic Leaders on Terrorism

Amid low approval ratings for President Bush and diminishing support for the Iraq war, Mehlman’s speech at the RNC’s summer meeting echoed a theme voiced by White House adviser Karl Rove in January: that Republicans should make terrorism a central campaign issue in the fall campaigns and argue that Democrats hold a pre-Sept. 11 view of the world. tMehlman said that if the Democrats win control of Congress in the Nov. 7 midterm elections, party leaders will stop the National Security Agency from eavesdropping on foreign terrorists and will pursue impeachment of the president.

Man, I just LOVE watching Republicans squirm…don’t you? Here’s a collection of criminals and thugs who KNOW that, if Democrats take control of Congress in November, they’re in a world of hurt. Yep; there’s nothing quite like the fear of being held accountable for your criminality to inspire creativity in finding new and different ways to scare the bejesus out of the American sheeple. Yessirree…if Democrats win, Godless homosexuals and America-hating Libruls activists of all stripes will be attempting to sell us out to the terrorists, the abortionists, and the sex perverts.

Speaking for myself and myself alone, I am sick and tired of GOP operatives playing the 9.11 card and using fear of terrorism to their advantage. By working to keep the American sheeple in a constant state of fear and occasional near-panic, Republicans can and do manipulate public discourse to their advantage. It’s not about addressing issues, or doing what’s best for America…it’s about winning. Period. End of story. Nothing else matters to Republicans, whose unofficial party motto appears to be “By Any Means Necessary”. Lies, deception, propaganda, fear-mongering…it’s all good if it results in Republicans winning elections in November.

Ah…it was just a matter of time before we heard Administration apologists beating the 9.11 drums, eh?

9.11…be afraid…9.11…be afraid…yadayadayada….

“America faces a critical question,” Mehlman said. “Will we elect leaders who recognize we’re at war and want to use every tool to win it, or politicians who would surrender important tools we need to win?”

Or will we elect politicians willing to play the fear card whenever it serves their purpose? Will we elect politicians willing to question the patritotism of those who would dare impugn the wise, enlightened policies of Our Glorious and Benevolent Leader?

“As foreign jihadists call into the United States, do we use [NSA] technology to stop sleeper cells before they hit us? Or do we surrender use of this technology, as Nancy Pelosi and Howard Dean would have us do?”

Well, given that Pelosi and Dean probably have Osama bin-Laden on speed dial, what do you think good, God-fearing American patriots think we should do?

BURN THE WITCH!!

Republicans are beginning to recognize what they’ve denied for so long- that they cannot compete with Democrats based on this Administration’s track record. Even the long-somnolent American sheeple have slowly come around the the reality that the GOP is a collection of criminals, thugs, and liars. We’ve been lied to long enough, and we’ve seen enough young Americans return from Iraq in boxes. Isn’t about damn time we started holding the bastards accountable?

This election is not about a pre- or post-9.11 view of Homeland Security. It’s about holding the thugs and criminals accountable for what they’ve done to this country since they stole the 2000 Presidential election. And if Ken Mehlman, Karl Rove, and others are worried about Our Glorious and Benevolent Leader being impeached by a Democrat-controlled Congress…well, they should be. If Bill Clinton can be impeached for allowing an intern to break in her kneepads for his benefit, should Our Glorious and Benevolent leader not be impeached for the lies and deceptions that have killed almost 2,600 brave young Americans (and wounded and maimed countless others) in Iraq?

Youdamnbetcha he should be impeached….
