If he wasn't an inept, lying thug, this wouldn't be a problem...would it??

In Campaign Ads for Democrats, Bush Is the Star

Not surprisingly, given that Mr. Bush’s job approval rating continues to hover around 40 percent, it is hard to spot the president in any of the Republican advertisements that were reviewed….There is Mr. Bush on television screens in Colorado, in an advertisement urging the election of Angie Paccione, a Democrat, leaning over to plant a big kiss on the forehead of Representative Marilyn Musgrave, a Republican. There is Mr. Bush on the television screens in New Mexico, standing on a stage shoulder-to-shoulder with Representative Heather A. Wilson, a Republican struggling to keep her seat. “Heather Wilson supports George Bush on the war in Iraq with no questions asked,” the announcer says, in an advertisement for Patricia Madrid, the Democrat.

In an election year when even Republicans are figuring out that the Emperor isn’t wearing any clothes, no one should claim to be surprised that Our Glorious and Benevolent Leader is being treated like a leper by his fellow Republicans. Of course, given the clusterf—k that is the war in Iraq (Where DID we find those WMDs, anyway??), and the way our Glorious and Benevolent Leader has thoroughly and cravenly politicized 9.11 (after all, Saddam Hussein WAS the driving force behind the attacks), treating the President like a pariah is only just and fair. When you consider that the man should by all rights be behind bars, being treated like a pariah hardly seems like sufficient punishment. He should be someone’s girlfriend in a federal prison.

It’s only taken six years, but it appears that the American sheeple are finally being roused from their mental slumber, even if only just. It’s only taken close to 3,000 American lives being wasted in Iraq, and gas price hovering around $3.00 for people to realize that they’ve elected— and re-elected— a complete moron as President.

As democracy is perfected, the office of president represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people. On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart’s desire at last and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron.

  • H.L. Mencken

It would appear that Mencken’s prophecy has come true, and in a way that might surprise even Mencken, perhaps the single most cynical curmudgeon ever to walk this Earth. Not only did America elect— and re-elect— a complete moron, they elected a thief and a murderer. Hey, we hit the trifecta, y’all!! BINGO….

Man, how could 54+ million people be so stupid, undemanding, and so willing to be thoroughly propagandized? Well, it’s easy, really; voting Republican really IS easier than thinking…and just look where it’s gotten us. Everybody wants to rule the world…and guess what? We actually do, and we’re not afraid to demonstrate it in Our Glorious and Benevolent Leader’s drive to bring American-style democracy and muscular Christianity to heathens the world over.

Praise God, and pass the ammunition, willya??

Yes, it’s taken six long years for the American sheeple to pull their anteriors from their posteriors, but better late than never, eh? It’s just too bad that we can’t un-kill the close to 3,000 soldiers who’ve died in Iraq for nothing but Our Glorious and Benevolent Leader’s self-aggrandizement.

If a President can be impeached for getting his helmet polished by a zaftig intern, shouldn’t we be able to do the same for a fool who’s responsible for the murder of almost 3,000 American soldiers? After all, it’s not as if they actually died for anything. Their lives were wasted because of a failed policy and a failed President too convinced of his own correctness and moral superiority to even consider his responsibility for these wasted young lives.

Is it anyone wonder that Republicans are treating Chimpy McFlightsuit as if he’s radioactive?
