That sound you heard was Our Glorious and Benevolent Leader's legacy taking a hit

Shiites torch Sunni people, mosques, houses

BAGHDAD, Iraq (CNN) — Enraged Shiites burned people to death, torched mosques and denounced Sunni leaders and the United States a day after a bloody assault on Sadr City, the Iraq capital’s Shiite bastion. That coordinated strike, which killed more than 200 and wounded more 250 Thursday, is considered the worst of the Iraq war, and Sunni militants are widely assumed to have carried it out. Witnesses said Shiite gunmen on Friday attacked two mosques with rocket-propelled grenades and burned two other Sunni mosques in the largely Shiite area of Hurriya in northwestern Baghdad.

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED.

It seemed such a simple, almost reasonable sentiment back in May, 2003, when Our Glorious and Benevolent Leader stood on the carrier deck of the USS Abraham Lincoln in San Diego harbor and proclaimed the end of “major combat operations”. So, how’s that “peace in our time” theme working our for all y’all? Of course, if you think like Our Glorious and Benevolent Leader and his collection of neocon thugs, you know that war really IS peace. And, yes, we ARE winning, though no one in power can articulate with any degree of certainty just what “victory” is supposed to look like. Nearly 3000 Americans have been killed, and Lord only knows how many Iraqis have died. This, as we like to call it in the trade, is a clusterf—k, a state of affairs so twisted, so convoluted, so thoroughly f——d up that not only does no one know how to fix it, no one has a clue as to what the problem is.

When did Sunnis start killing Shiites and Shiites killing Sunnis? (Before this started, how many of you even knew that Islam is composed of Shiite and Sunni Muslims?) Who knows? At this point, it hardly matters. The senseless, horrific carnage continues unabated, escalating seemingly with each passing day. The one person who might be able to put a halt to the madness, Shiite cleric Muqtada al Sadr, passed up a golden opportunity to put an end to the cycle of senseless murder and mayhem. At Friday prayers, instead of forbidding his followers from retaliating against Sunnis, he went off on a rant that had nothing to do with the senseless bloodletting. THIS is how a man of God reacts to senseless violence and murder?

A real man of God would be busting his hump trying to achieve peace. A real man of God would be doing everything in his power to stop the bloodlettting. A real man of God would be working to foster communication and understanding between the Shia and Sunni communities. All al Sadr had to do was to order his followers to stand down, and much if not all of the ensuing bloodshed would have been prevented. Then again, if Muqtada al Sadr is a mad of God, I’m the Queen of England.

A man of peace representing the Religion of Peace? Not bloody likely (pun intended). If you’re al Sadr, violence and murder are merely means to an end. What a f——-g hypocrite.

Congratulations, America. If you’re one of the people who voted for Our Glorious and Benevolent Leader, you need to accept the reality that you have blood on your hands. The clusterf—k that is Iraq today can only reasonably be described as the sole responsibility of Our Glorious and Benevolent Leader. His lies, his deception, and his propaganda laid the groundwork or this generation’s Vietnam…and y’all put him in office. Nice going, eh? I certainly hope your proud of yourselves.

IRAQ HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH 9.11 OR GLORIOUS AND NEVER-ENDING CRUSADE AGAINST THE “EVILDOERS” THE WAR AGAINST TERROR. Yet how many of you still believe that Saddam Hussein was either responsible for, or complicit in, the 9.11 attacks? Even worse, how many of you are aware that NO terrorist threat existed in Iraq until Our Glorious and Benevolent Leader created one? That’s right; 3,000 Americans have died fighting a terrorist threat that Our Glorious and Benevolent Leader created out of whole cloth. Don’tcha just LOVE propaganda??

So how does it feel being responsible for electing a liar and a murderer? How does it feel to have the blood of thousands of American soldiers and untold numbers of innocent Iraqi civilians on your hands? This war had nothing to do with the war on terror or 9.11…and yet you swallowed his propaganda hook. line, and sinker. Nice work. Next time try paying attention.

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED.
