Another DUMB@$$ AWARD wiener

George Bush is my hero

DUMB@$$ AWARD wieners #503: Ed Koch

President George W. Bush, vilified by many, supported by some, is a hero to me. Why do I say that? It’s not because I agree with the President’s domestic agenda. It’s not because I think he’s done a perfect job in the White House. George Bush is a hero to me because he has courage. The President does what he believes to be in the best interest of the United States. He sticks with his beliefs, no matter how intense the criticism and invective that are directed against him every day.

It would appear that the TPRS Jonestown correspondent, Former New York Mayor and world-famous Jewish personality Ed Koch, has checked in. And it appears that Koch has been hitting the KoolAid just a wee bit too hard- or perhaps he’s angling for a job in BushWorld. How else might one explain this lurid example of mental masturbation?

Of course, it should come as no suprise that Koch’s slavish, hero-worshiping diatribe appeared on The Jerusalem Post’s website…and the Post just happens to be one the most reliably and thoroughly unhinged, rabidly Conservative news rags this side of The Washington Times. (Check your grip on reality and any willingness to reasonably discuss the war in Iraq at the door.)

In complete and utter ignorance of the reality that characterizes the reign of error by Our Glorious and Benevolent Leader © , Koch manages to perform the equivalent of literary fellatio. This ignorant, self-serving crap is the sort of thing I would expect from the pinheads on Little Green Footballs, not from the former mayor of the largest city in the nation. How Koch managed to function as mayor of New York City for as long as he did without a functional grip on reality is something I find difficult to fathom.

What’s even worse is that he even has a plan for how to “fix” Iraq, and it’s a beauty, constructed as it apparently is out of one part fantasy, two parts ignorance, and four parts hero worship (knee pads optional). This would explain why Koch’s plan has absolutely no basis in anything even remotely resembling reality. It also makes me wonder if he’s been paying any attention at all to what’s been happening over the past four years.

[M]y proposal, advanced nearly a year ago, that we tell our allies, regional and NATO, that we are getting out of Iraq unless they come in. That may well work, and they will come in, in large part and share the casualties of combat and the financial costs of war.

And our allies will tell us to go f—k ourselves, which is exactly what they told Our Glorious and Benevolent Leader © prior to his launching his glorious and excellent adventure in Iraq in 2003. Koch has somehow convinced himself that things will be different now that NATO has spent the past four years observing how thoroughly Our Glorious and Benevolent Leader © has f——d things up. More KoolAid, anyone??

Of course, Koch worships His Ineptitudeship Our Glorious and Benevolent Leader © …so he’s certainly not about to call him on the lies, the propaganda, and the criminal ineptitude that got us to this point.

Doing what I suggest is far better than simply pulling out, which is the direction in which we are headed, notwithstanding the President’s opposition. I think at the moment simply getting out and not making an attempt to bring our allies in is supported by a majority of Americans and would be supported by a majority of Democrats in the Congress.

For me, staying is clearly preferable, provided we are not alone and are joined by our regional and NATO allies, aggressively taking on the difficult but necessary task of destroying radical Islam and its terrorist agenda if we don’t want to see radical Islam destroy the Western world and moderate Arab states over the next generation, or as long as it takes for them to succeed.

Uh…there WAS no terrorist threat in Iraq until Our Glorious and Benevolent Leader © ordered the invasion and created the very threat ours sons and daughters are now fighting and being blown up by. We find ourselves embroiled in a quagmire that can only be charitably characterized as this generation’s Vietnam- a senseless, pointless meatgrinder of a war that at this point simply appears to be unwinnable no matter how victory is defined.

Yet Ed Koch can with a straight face called Our Glorious and Benevolent Leader © his hero? Jeebus, what a f——-g DUMB@$$….
