Get ready....

For whatever reason, there are a lot of folks out there in Jesusland who HATE Sen. Hillary Clinton (D-NY). Most of them can’t really tell you why, but their hatred is both profound and visceral…and it will only get worse over the next 18 months or so. If you think John Kerry got “swiftboated”, just wait until the Right-wing noise machine (no doubt funded once again by Bob Perry) gets itself wound up. The goal of these folks is to get the electorate to view Sen. Clinton as a power-mad, castrating harridan- a ruthless bitch who will stop at nothing to neuter men in pursuit of her Far Left agenda. It’s the same method that was used to define and ultimately defeat John Kerry. The sad thing is that this method works, because most of the electorate has already been conditioned to hate Sen. Clinton. I’ve seen one poll that indicates that something like 45% of voters would refuse to vote for Clinton under any circumstance whatsoever. Most of these people know nothing about what Sen. Clinton stands for, but they’re already convinced that she’s a castrating bitch with a radical agenda and who’s bent on feminizing America.

Hillary Clinton is at this point probably the best and most qualified Presidential candidate that Democrats have to offer. The fact that she is a woman certainly doesn’t hurt. It’s entirely possible, though, that Americans will never get the chance to consider her candidacy based on the issues and what she stands for. It’s more like than not that Bob Perry and his “swift boat” money will be used to blanket the airwaves with commercials smearing Clinton and defining her as the very Embodiment of Evil © .

It would be nice to think that 2008 would be about issues and getting us out of Iraq. It would be nice, but it’s probably not going to happen. Hillary Clinton, though she’s beyond qualified to be President, will be facing an opponent who thinks that they’ll be able to define her as an evil, power-mad, closet Lesbian feminazi with an abiding hatred of and desire to castrate men.

Of course, I don’t know why anyone would be surprised. It’s not as if Republicans were willing to engage in a debate on the issues in 2004. They knew that, with Our Glorious and Benevolent Leader © as their candidate, they had no chance on the issues. The only option they had was to destroy John Kerry on a personal level…which succeeded beyond their wildest dreams. Stay tuned for more of the same in 2008. If you thought 2004 was ugly, just wait until 2008- especially if Hillary Clinton is the Democratic standard bearer.
