Texans for Obama

tfo_banner.jpg

While I recently wrote a lengthy entry supporting an Al Gore candidacy, I don’t find that scenario very likely. Should Al run, he will have my support, but until then, I am going to continue supporting Barack Obama.

In case you didn’t know, Sen. Obama has launched his Presidential campaign officially, and has set up an innovative website. The website allows users to create their own profiles, form groups, organize events, and try their hand at fundraising. It’s basically myspace for politics nerds (read: heaven.)

At any rate, I’ve created a fundraising page called Texans for Obama. I’m curious what kind of efficacy this new web portal will have, and am interested in finding out how hard it would be to get 4,000 Texans to donate $25 (or 10,000 to donate $10.) So, if you’re planning on donating toward his campaign anyway, why not do it now, and why not do it through my link? If you’re not planning on donating any time soon, just keep this in mind. I don’t think $100,000 is out of reach, and hopefully, I can prove it.
