First Lady: Iraq War Is “Wearing”

Laura Bush: Iraq is mostly stable, it’s just that “one bombing a day that discourages everyone”

DUMB@$$ AWARD wiener #540: First Lady Laura Bush

First Lady Laura Bush acknowledged that she has found the Iraq war and its aftermath “wearing,” but told CNN she fully agrees with the president that a troop withdrawal would be a “serious mistake.”….”Of course it’s wearing, worrying. There’s no doubt about it, and I understand how the American people feel and that they feel like things aren’t going like we want them to there,” she said when asked by CNN’s Larry King if the war had worn her down. The First Lady went on to say: “Many parts of Iraq are stable now. But, of course, what we see on television is the one bombing a day that discourages everybody.”

Gee, thanks for noticing…man, those wars of aggression can be SO messy and inconvenient, can’t they??

It’s truly amazing sometimes how completely and utterly out of touch members of the Bush family and Administration can be. ‘Course, if you’re married to Our Glorious and Benevolent Leader © , no one is going to accuse you of having standards or of marrying well.

If not for that damn one bombing a day, Iraq would be a (&^%$# Paradise on Earth. Oh…that and the frequent assassinations and other assorted mayhem that makes life in Iraq the closest thing to forced Russian Roulette on Earth. Gee, but you know, with just a little TLC, Iraq could be a stable wonderful place, don’tcha think?? If only we’d just give it a chance….

Man, some people should be kept as far away from cameras and microphones as possible.
