Republican hypocrisy...yes, I know it's redundant....

CNN’s, ABC’s Beck on Clinton: “[S]he’s the stereotypical bitch”

On the March 15 broadcast of his nationally syndicated radio show, Glenn Beck said: “Hillary Clinton cannot be elected president because … there’s something about her vocal range.” He went on to say, “There’s something about her voice that just drives me — it’s not what she says, it’s how she says it,” adding, “She is like the stereotypical — excuse the expression, but this is the way to — she’s the stereotypical bitch, you know what I mean?” Beck also asked: “[A]fter four years, don’t you think every man in America will go insane?” and pleaded, “I’m sorry for being such a pig. But please, America. Please. I don’t think I could do it for four years. I mean, sure the country is going to go to hell in a handbasket, but could we make this about me for a second? I just don’t think I could take it from her.” He also said that “there is a range in women’s voices that experts say is just the chalk, I mean, the fingernails on the blackboard.”

I read this story, and my first thought was, “Yeah, right…WHAT LIBERAL MEDIA??” It never ceases to amaze me how Right-wingers who wouldn’t know common decency if it bit them on the @$$ can get gigs on national television. If a Liberal pundit came up with some of the pointless unreasonable crap that former DUMB@$$ AWARD wiener Glenn Beck did, they’d be excoriated. Beck, however, is paid handsomely by both CNN and ABC to give voice to his stream-of-consciousness bigotry and piggishness in any manner he deems necessary and reasonable.

At least Beck owns up to being a pig, but I can’ help but wonder why and how CNN and ABC think his insulting rhetorical excesses are worthy of their networks.

What amazes me even more is that those who sign Beck’s paychecks seem to have no problem at all with his ignorance, his piggishness, and his willingness to give voice to whatever stupid, inappropriate comment happens to pop into his pointy li’l haid. Conservatives will have no credible claim to reason, decency, and respect for all points of view until they consign bigots like Glenn Beck to the obscurity they so richly deserve. That this will never happen ought to tell you a lot about the state of this nation’s Conservative movement.
