We can only hope that this week will be as entertaining

The week started tragically with the fourth anniversary of the war in Iraq, included President Bush’s Nixonian line-in-the-sand press conference on the U.S. Attorneys scandal, and ended with the heartrending announcement about Elizabeth Edwards’ health. Thank goodness we had the comic relief of Tom DeLay. The disgraced former Majority Leader and bug exterminator brought some badly needed laughs during an appearance on Hardball when he denied that he had written a passage in his own book, even after Chris Matthews showed him the page it appears on. Shades of Terrell Owens, who once claimed he was misquoted in his own autobiography.
