Yippee!! The Stanley Cup Playoffs began on Wednesday night, and if this is any indication of what’s to come, I may end up having to forgive the NHL for it’s 2004-05 lockout. Possibly. I’m not about to get all wobbly just yet.
Imagine this, if you will: 138:06 of playoff hockey- almost seven full periods (2 FULL games plus yet another period)…and that was just Game One between Dallas and Vancouver. Tonight, they get to do it again…and both teams will probably (and understandably) look as if they’re skating in quicksand.
Thankfully, the madness won’t stop until someone has sixteen wins, which should take us just about to mid-June. Two months of playoff hockey; does it get any better??
