Once a DUMB@$$...always Tom DeLay

After Imus, DeLay Calls for Rosie to Be Fired: Wants Conservatives to Lead Anti-O’Donnell Push

If the Left Takes Imus, We’ll Take Rosie

(April 13) — Fanning the flames of discontent sparked by the Imus controversy, former congressman Tom DeLay is making a plea for his fellow conservatives to get Rosie O’Donnell fired for recent remarks she made…. “I’m calling for conservatives to take on Rosie O’Donnell,” DeLay said during an interview with CNN. “She criticized and ridiculed Chinese-Americans, she accused the president of being responsible for 9/11. Let’s now start calling for her resignation.”

I grew being taught that it’s better to be thought a mean-spirited, rape and pillage Conservative than to be Tom DeLay and remove all doubt. Now that he’s been freed from the constant campaign that is part and parcel of being a Congressman, DeLay is free to unleash all of the meanness and bile he has stored up toward those he views as responsible for his demise. What…and you thought he was going to accept responsible for his political career going down the toilet? Yeah, and I’ve got a bridge in Brooklyn I can get you a great price on….

I’m not about to defend Rosie O’Donnell or her comments accusing Our Glorious and Benevolent Leader © of being responsible for 9.11. She’s a big girl, and she can defend herself. Personally, I could care less about her opinions; we all know what those are like, and yes, everyone really does have one.

DeLay is certainly free to his opinions as well. And I’m free to consider him a mean-sprited, vindictive, knuckle-dragging DUMB@$$ who seems to be tired of this whole democracy thing. Is there anything more tiresome, more ennui-inducing, than Tom DeLay acting as if he’s still relevant and still has something meaningful to add to the public discourse? Jeebus, what a (&^%$#@ DUMB@$$….

Hey, if we’re going to campaign to fire every ignoramus with objectionable opinions, how about we begin demanding that CNN fire Glenn Beck? Oh, right…Beck’s a Conservative troglodyte…so he’s acceptable. Whatever….

O’Donnell responded to DeLay on her blog with a post titled “Tommy D,” calling him a “criminal” and “sad slug,” and also says his claims about her 9/11 comments are wrong. She then goes on to post a wikipedia transcript of Delay’s indictments for illegal acceptance of funds while he was U.S. House Majority Leader.

O’Donnell’s spurned quite a bit of controversy lately. She recently questioned the cause of collapse for World Trade Center 7, a building near the Twin Towers that collapsed eight hours after the planes first hit. That led to a feud between O’Donnell and Fox News host Bill O’Reilly.

Rosie O’Donnell can go pound sand. I’ve grown tired of the myriad conspiracy theories surrounding 9.11. Without solid proof, I’m just not prepared to believe that 9.11 is anything but what it appeared to be- an attack by al-Qaeda. If O’Donnell chooses to believe differently, that’s her right. Neither I nor Tom DeLay are required to share those beliefs. DeLay’s Conservative “tit for tat” lunacy only proves how morally and ethically corrupt today’s Conservative movement truly is. And you wonder why Conservatives can’t govern? Perhaps it’s because they’re more concerned about lockstep ideological fealty than in doing what’s best for this country. Conservatives like DeLay are far more interested in demonizing Liberals and trying to turn this country into a theocracy and their personal political playground than in doing the People’s Business. Why would ANYONE think DeLay has ANYTHING of any value to offer this country? As if he ever did….
