This is what happens when you call "bullshit" on a Chickenhawk

War Hawk Kristol Confronted By Military Wife: ‚Äö√Ñ√≤You All Don’t Understand‚Äö√Ѭ∂We Are People Too’

I’m sure when your head hits the pillow you have a luxury of dreaming about anything that your mind will allow you to dream about‚Äö√Ѭ∂ I sleep with the phone under the pillow. My kids ‚Äö√Ñ√Æ if someone rings the doorbell, instead of normal kids they freeze. And they’re in elementary school. You all don’t understand. We are military people but we are people, too. And the stress that we are under is tremendous.

I’m so (&^%$#@ sick and tired of neocon Chickenhawks like former DUMB@$$ AWARD wiener Bill Kristol spreading their doctrine and pushing their conviction that “War is Good…especially when someone else’s children are doing the fighting and dying.”

Kristol clearly sees the war in Iraq in abstract geopolitical terms, which is great if you’re playing Risk. What we’re dealing with here is real flesh and blood- soldiers, some on their second, third, and in some cases even fourth tours of duty in Iraq. We’re dealing with marriages and families that have come under tremendous stress because a family member- usually the father and husband- is halfway around the world in an environment that may claim their life in a brutal and violent manner. We’re dealing with soldiers who in some cases return permanently damaged-both physically and psychologically. Does Kristol have ANY idea of what the war is doing to real people? And how about their families? Yeah, right….

Bill Kristol can talk about sacrifice and fighting the good fight all he wants. The reality is that this war is little more than an abstract concept to him. The closest that he or any of his loved ones will come to combat is the back-and-forth repartee on a Sunday morning talk show.

During a C-SPAN appearance this morning, Weekly Standard editor Bill Kristol was confronted by a military wife living in Ft. Hood, TX, who called in to criticize him for “pushing the war.”….

The caller also told Kristol that he was a “liar” for claiming that it’s “mostly the insurgents attacking us,” versus members of the Iraqi population. “They don’t want us there,” she said. “I understand you truly believe what you’re saying but it’s not working. We can’t want it for them more than they want it for themselves.”….

Kristol offered little in response, using the caller’s criticism of the stress she’s under to advocate for a larger Army. He concluded, “The strains on family life are obviously very real‚Äö√Ѭ∂and I hope we do more to deal with that.”

The sad reality is that Bill Kristol IS a liar…and a thug…and a propagandist of the first order. Not only is he all about the war in Iraq, he’s also been lobbying for some time for war against Iran. Hell, why not? We’ve got something like 150,000 soldiers and Marines right next door; why not invade Iran for variety’s sake? It’s not like he or any of his loved ones will have to assume any of the risks of yet another illegal, immoral war, eh?

Boy, it’s SO much easier to be an uber-patriotic Chickenhawk when someone else’s kids are doing the fighting and dying, isn’t it??
