OK, we have a hate crimes bill. When do we get one for ignorance crime?

Former Fox Host Helps CNN Promotes Glenn Beck’s Anti-Global Warming Agenda

Sometimes I’m truly amazed at the level of self-absorbed, self-righteous ignorance that emanates from some of the trollish Right-wing talking heads. Since they have a platform from which to spew their lunacy and ignorant, hateful broadsides, they believe they have the perfect right to trash and impugn the reputation of a public servant that has done more for this country that any Right-wing zealot could even dream of.

Et tu, Glenn Beck?

I have no doubt that Beck sees himself as the very essence and personification of reason- Mr. Center-of-the-Road, if you will. The problem is that there is NOTHING centrist about Beck. Perhaps he thinks if he keeps repeating the “I’m a reasonable man in the middle” mantra, sheeple will begin to believe it (Hey, it worked for Josef Goebbels, no?). I’m not willing to write the man off completely, because every now and then he says something that actually sounds sensible and reasonable. More often than not, though, he’s glibly and needlessly insulting those who happen to occupy the left side of the ideological spectrum…as if Al Gore is some sort of laughing stock, instead of a former Vice President who has done more to serve this country and raise aware of global climate change than Glenn Beck could possibly dream of.

You don’t have to agree with the former Vice President, Mr. Beck, but would it be too much to treat the man with at least a modicum of respect, instead of treating him like the village idiot? Frankly, if you’re looking for someone to fill the role of “village idiot”, might I suggest that you look in the mirror?

The problem with Beck is that he excels at tearing things down- ideas, people, those who would work hard to make a difference- but he couldn’t build something positive if his life depended on it. Frankly, when he opens his mouth, all I hear is noise and verbal vomit…and yet CNN continues to provide him with a platform.

What a (&^%$#@ DUMB@$$….
