Six degrees of well, I'm not quite sure what....

(cross-posted to The Agonist)

Having lived in the former Yugoslavia, I still maintain a healthy interest in what’s happening in that part of the world. Sometimes, just for giggles, I enjoy checking out Serbian nationalist sites. Some of them, especially some of the American-based ones, are truly off the wall. I particularly love Serbianna, because, even though they work hard to portray themselves as a reasonably impartial new sites gearing towards Serbia and the Serbian diaspora, the bias is laughably obvious.

This little bit for instance seems to be a cheap take-off on “Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon”:

1) The three Albanian brothers involved in the Fort Dix terrorist plot were roofers.
2) A notorious Albanian weapons smuggler named Adrian Krasniqi employed roofers.
3) Krasniqi is close to Richard Holbrooke and Gen. Wesley Clark.

Therefore, using the power of deduction (and allowing for a dollop of literary license), let’s fill in the final three lines:

4) Holbrooke and Clark are partial to Donatella Versace’s summer lingerie collection.
5) Versace has donated large sums of money to Focus on the Family’s James Dobson.
6) Dobson was recently caught in flagrante delicto with Dakota Fanning, a donkey, and a crack pipe in the Oval Office.

You see, it’s so much easier when you can break things down scientifically. By using this simple formula, you can clearly see that the ultimate responsibility for the foiled terrorist plot against Ft. Dix lies clearly and undeniably lies with the Bush Administration.

Simple, huh? Try it at home sometime. I think you’ll be surprised at how much easier it is to understand current events using this simple tool…and tell them Jack sent you.
