The more things change....

Rangers pummel Astros 14-1 to win weekend series: Houston suffers worst loss of season

For those of us who might have been hoping that the Astros might have miraculously discovered the joys of starting pitching while we were out of town…well, things could be worse. You could be living in DC, where the drama of a Nationals-Orioles interleague series at RFK Stadium was…well, underwhelming to say the least.

Given that 40% of last year’s starting rotation is pitching in Yankee Stadium, and the Woody Williams, the alleged veteran the pitching staff so sorely needed, is 1-6, you might be forgiven for looking forward to football season. At least there, we KNOW the Texans will suck without the pretense of acting like a good team.

Can’t anyone on this team pitch?

Man, I can hardly wait until Roger Clemens makes his comeback, and Andy Pettitte comes of the DL to pitch for the Astros. Uh, wait….

14-1? Jeebus, get a roll of stamps and mail it in, willya??

Why the "fog of war" is sometimes indistinguishable these days from the "fog of politics" is the next entry in this blog.
