Who says God lacks a sense of humor?

Actor’s Risque Past Halts ‘Adam’ Film (via AMERICAblog)

The man who plays Adam in a video aired at a Bible-based creationist museum has led a different life outside the Garden of Eden, flaunting his sexual exploits online and modeling for a clothing line that promotes free love. After learning about his activities Thursday, the Creation Museum in Kentucky pulled the 40-second video in which he appears. “We are currently investigating the veracity of these serious claims of his participation in projects that don’t align with the biblical standards and moral code upon which the ministry was founded,” Answers for Genesis spokesman Mark Looy said in a written statement. The actor, Eric Linden, owns a graphic Web site called Bedroom Acrobat, where he has been pictured, smiling alongside a drag queen, in a T-shirt brandishing the site’s sexually suggestive logo. The Web site, which has a network of members, allows users to post explicit stories and photos. He also sells clothing for SFX International, whose initials appear on clothing to spell “SEX” from afar. It promotes “free love,”“pleasure” and “thrillz.”

This is just what I needed to put a smile on my face on a Friday morning. There are few things I enjoy more than watching a collection of self-righteous, holier-than-thou, Jeebus Freaks run for cover as a- OH, THE HORROR OT IT ALL- sex scandal unfolds under their very noses. Man, can’t you just SMELL the hypocrisy??

Eric Linden fancies himself as something of an actor. While his portrayal of Adam (of “Adam & Eve” fame) will never get him confused with Sir Laurence Olivier, it apparently was believable enough that the fine, upstanding Christians at the Creation Museum felt comfortable using it for the propaganda value. Man, if they’d just done a wee bit of due diligence (like maybe a 15-second Google search)….

What Would Jesus Do? Something tells me he’d be laughing his ass off at the expense of the buffoons at the Creation Museum. Jeebus, people, get a sense of humor…and lighten up, willya??

Man, this just puts the “fun” back into “Fundamentalism”, doesn’t it??
