Breaking: Cheney Says Hillary’s Request For Pentagon Info Helping Enemy
The battle between Hillary and the White House over Pentagon troop withdrawal plans has just heated up again in a big way. Staking out a position at odds with that of his own Defense Secretary, Dick Cheney was just quoted on CNN saying that he agrees with a Pentagon official’s recent assertion that Hillary Clinton’s request for info about withdrawal contingency plans is helpful to the enemy. In an excerpt from an interview with Larry King set to air later today that was just shown on the network, Cheney was asked whether he agreed with an earlier assessment by Under Secretary of State Eric Edelman, who recently sent Clinton a letter chiding her request for info about the plans as helpful to “enemy propaganda.” Cheney’s reply: “I agreed…I thought it was a good letter.”
I’ve only seen excerpts of Larry King’s interview with Vlad the Impaler © , but what I have seen is absolutely mind-boggling. The portion mentioned above, por ejemplo is a truly astounding bit of “real Americans patriots don’t ask questions” arrogance. Right; if Sen. Clinton REALLY cared about our troops, she’d shut up, vote for Our Glorious and Benevolent Leader’s © Glorious Adventure in Iraq and wave the flag like the good, God-fearing Republicans always do (Who are the REAL Americans now??). Asking uncomfortable questions only emboldens the enemy by making them aware that Americans are not uniformly supportive of the never-ending War Against Terror. In fact, it seems that SOME Americans secretly love terrorists. Why else would Sen. Clinton be asking all these treasonous questions about withdrawing from Iraq? Doesn’t she know that setting a date certain for withdrawal only tells the enemy how long they’re going to have to wait before they can REALLY ramp up their unmitigated evil? Isn’t that what evildoers do?? After all, that’s what Our Glorious and Benevolent Leader © tells us…and you know that man can’t tell a lie…right??
In response, Hillary spokesman Philippe Reines emailed us a statement pointing out that Cheney had broken with his own SecDef on the issue.
“It seems the right hand doesn’t know what the far-right hand is doing,” Reines said in the statement sent to Election Central. “Senator Clinton calls on President Bush to set the record straight.”
Well, no…all this really proves is that Robert Gates is perhaps the one Bushie with even the barest shred of decency remaining in his frigid black soul. Edelman and Cheney are by no means the ones heavily engaged in the “loose lips sink ships” mentality. Sen. Clinton was merely doing her job. Part of Congress’ job is to provide oversight of the Executive Branch…but then I forgot; Cheney isn’t really part of the Executive Branch. He would have told King which branch he IS part of, but then he would have had to kill King. It would seem that Cheney is essentially accountable to no one…not even Our Glorious and Benevolent Leader © , and certainly not to Congress or the American people. The only portion of the population that Cheney feels anything resembling beholden to is the 29% that still support The Worst President EVER © . These sheeple are terrified that an al Qaeda sleeper cell operates out of their neighborhood 7-11, so they vote the straight fear-mongering ticket (Hey, it worked for Bush-Cheney in 2004, eh?)
Remember…REAL American patriots don’t ask why. They support The Decider © unquestioningly as he decides how best to meet his awesome, soul-crushing responsibility of protecting the American sheeple. Isn’t it about time that Sen. Clinton recognizes this immutable truth? Isn’t that what Jesus would do??
