Just another day in Paradise

Well, it would appear that just as we were begin to believe that we weren’t going to see much from TS Erin, she has in fact arrived…and she’s not in a particularly good mood. I can look out my office window and see…well, not much of anything, really. The sky is a dark, evil shade of grey, and the rain is coming down so hard that I can’t even see the cars in the parking lot a mere four stories below. Hmm…I’m thinking I may have to change that tee time….

Only about 48 hours ago, it was 102 degrees, and I was contemplating how people managed living here before air conditioning arrived in 1938. Yeah, it may feel like we’re living in Hell now, but what in the world did people do before air conditioning? Man, the residents of this area must have been one cranky collection of malcontents, eh?

Now I find myself wondering if I need to leave the office early so I can head home and begin collecting two of everything.

Even better, Hurricane Dean is headed our way…quite possibly as a Category 4 storm…just as Adam and his girlfriend are returning on a cruise ship from Honduras. Let’s hope someone remembered to pack the Dramamine, eh?
