Beloved DC Think Tank Calls For Bush To Nuke Iraq And Become World Dictator

Hail Caesar

A brave group of wingnuts is demanding that George W. Bush nuke all the brown folk and become Dictator of the World. Why? We don’t know, something about how democracy is sort of a pain when all you want to do is nuke the fucking Moslems so Emperor Jesus can return as written in the popular “Left Behind” comic books. Anyway, some local dingbat right-wing “think tank” posted some insane bullshit about how Bush is so hated by everybody that he must become dictator by nuking Iraq as the obvious first part of the bold plan to “empty Iraq of Arabs and repopulate the country with Americans.”

So, what’s a good, God-fearing Conservative to do when the President he worships is reviled by 71% of the voting population? Why, of course…he’s going to advocate the the 29% rise up and forcibly install Our Glorious and Benevolent Leader © as Dictator for Life. What else would a true-blue American Patriot do?

The Family Security Matters website is scary, not only for the decidedly pro-dictatorship, anti-democracy views it espouses, but also because it disappeared from da Interweb just as quickly as it appeared. A joke of some sort, perhaps? It’s possible, I suppose, but I seriously doubt it. If it is/was a joke, then it’s a decidedly unfunny one. In this day and age, how else could a site that appears to seriously argue against democracy as a necessary and sufficient to protect the safety and security of American families be perceived?

How seriously are some folks taking this? Well, true to form, the knuckle-draggers at Free Republic are practically creaming their shorts over the possibility that The Worst President EVER © might somehow assume absolute power and dominion over this country.

I suppose it was just a matter of time post-9.11 before some folks began positing- however seriously or not- that perhaps American democracy had run it’s course, and that perhaps we’ve reached the point where a strong, decisive ruler was what this country needs. How these trolls could possibly think that King George the Worst © could be the man for the job only goes to demonstrate how thoroughly unbalanced some of these freepers are.

I believe it was Benjamin Franklin who said that those who would trade liberty and freedom for security deserve neither. I think that eloquently sums up how I feel about those who would seriously advocate that perhaps American democracy has run it’s course.
