Once a DUMB@$$...always Rick Perry

Perry goes on attack against Democrats

AUSTIN ‚Äö√Ñ√Æ He skipped Texas’ GOP straw poll, but Gov. Rick Perry delivered a red-meat speech at the California Republican Party convention scoffing at Al Gore over global warming and taking on Nancy Pelosi and the Clintons…. “I’ve heard Al Gore talk about man-made global warming so much that I’m starting to think that his mouth is the leading source of all that supposedly deadly carbon dioxide,” Perry said in last Friday’s prepared speech, a week after the presidential straw poll in Fort Worth. Pelosi?…. “Let’s make sure the Nancy Pelosi speakership is just an asterisk in the history of our country.”…. Hillary Clinton’s effort to follow her husband as president?…. “We must move heaven and earth to make sure we never see another Clinton in the White House.”…. California, where Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger urged a centrist approach?…. “California is too important … to allow a bankrupt, liberal political philosophy to dominate the direction of this state.”…. Perry promised more of the same in 2008.

If an ignorant, mean-sprited DUMB@$$ falls in the forest, and no one bothers to listen, does he even make a sound?? Amazing, isn’t it? Rick Perry represents a Republican Party that accuses Democrats of being devoid of ideas…and then he comes along and proves the theory that you always hate in others what you most fear in yourself. Governor Goodhair wouldn’t know a constructive idea if he found it in a men’s room stall looking for some “action”. What he does seem to be expert at is the same sort of smug, self-satisfied name-calling that demonstrates just how morally corrupt and intellectually vacant today’s GOP is. Jeebus, what a DUMB@$$….

It would be one thing if Perry actually had an original thought or idea to put forward, something positive he could put his imprimatur on and claim as his very own. Sadly, he seems intellectually lazy enough to be satisfied with relying on the same old tired GOP propaganda/talking points and mean-spirited, pointless insults that demonstrate exactly why the GOP has seen it’s fortunes circling the drain over the past couple of years. Devoid of ideas, but long on propaganda, talking points, and good, old-fashioned fear mongering, Republicans like Perry seem to be happily channelling Right-wing fools like Bill O’Reilly, Michelle Malkin, Michael Savage, and Ann Coulter, moral and intellectual midgets for whom cheap insults and petty, mean-spirited diatribes (Liberals are ugly, stupid, and yucky!!) seem to pass as legitimate political discourse.

The good news is no one, even in Texas, really seems to be paying attention to Governor Goodhair anymore…as if anyone ever really did. His ignorant rants seem to disperese on the four winds, (thankfully) never to be heard again. Here’s an exercise that might help to reveal what a hopeless loser Governor Goodhair really is: first, find out how many Texans can even identify their current Governor (even after two-plus terms). Then, asks the small minority who do know who their Governor just what Governor Goodhair has accomplished during his lifetime in office. Once you’ve done that, just sit back and let the blank stares roll over you. (Uh…what???)

Damn…Rick Perry’s Governor? Who knew?? And when did this happen??

So, who’s REALLY the party of no ideas? Hmm??
