The irrepressible David Horowitz is the man behind Islamo-Fascism Awareness Week, which kicks off today. The Left and the jihadi apologists are in a snit, of course, and you already know what the grievance hoaxers at GWU attempted to do in their effort to deflect attention away from our true enemies and smear the organizers and supporters of IFAW.
You know, I should probably be grateful to Michelle Malkin and David Horowitz. I’d almost forgotten about the threat posed by radical Islamist terrorists and their undying hatred of Our Way of Life. I’ve been so focused on the drama that is Dancing With The Stars that I’d pretty much forgotten of the need to live in mortal, bowel-draining fear of a terrorist attack being visited upon the Homeland by radical Islamofascists looking to kill themselves some Infidels.
Yes, America…as if we didn’t already have reason enough to be scared (Swarthy men with scraggly beards want to kill us?? Who knew??), now we have yet another reason to live in abject, colon-clenching fear. The Evildoers are out there, and they’re after you. Yes, YOU. If you ever forget, you can rest assured that there are plenty of Right-wing fear mongers who will be sure to remind you…incessantly, so that you remember that we owe our safety and security to Our Glorious and Benevolent Leader © and his brave, insightful, and selfless leadership.
Yeah, right. Whatever….
I’m not saying that forgetting about 9.11, or the threat of terrorism, or the brilliance of The Worst President EVER © is acceptable, but if you need a special week to remind you to live in abject fear…well, maybe you should just move back to Canada or wherever rock you crawled out from under.
It would seem that apparently we’re so ignorant and so unable to keep our common history in mind that we need a collection of neoConservative fear-mongers to constantly remind us. Yes, keep in mind that if not for Commander Codpiece © , we’d all be praying five times a day to Mecca and growing beards to cover our explosive vests.
Be afraid; be VERY afraid…because that way you’ll never spend any time thinking about how morally, intellectually, and philosophically bankrupt Republicans really are. And Republicans will keep serving up the same mediocre uber-patriotic pablum they have been since 9.11…which, if you think about it, was just about the best thing ever to happen to the GOP, sick as that may seem.
Besides, pandering and fear-mongering is SO much less work than engaging in anything resembling honest-to-God leadership, don’tchaknow?
