So where do we draw the line?

You know, I understand that the meltdown in the mortgage market has created some difficulties for a large and growing number of American families. As a matter of simple human decency, we should be helping these folks out. Even so, there needs to be a line drawn in the sand somewhere. I’m not saying that I know exactly where that line should be drawn, but propping up greed, ignorance, and horribly misguided decisions seems likea good place to start. Simple human decency would seem to dictate that putting families out into the streets is in no one’s interest, but propping up those whose situation can be attributed to greed and poor business decisions? We should be talking about supporting families, not subsidizing ignorance, greed, and poor decision-making. Some folks simply don’t deserve a bail-out.
